Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are able to see adults on a case-by-case basis. Common adult referrals are for voice, fluency, dysphagia, or speech and language disorders due to stroke, TBI, or other head injuries.

  • No. Many researchers agree that a child who is exposed to multiple languages at an early age simultaneously will naturally learn to use all languages. Children can be expected to go through some periods of silence, mixing two languages and/or borrowing vocabulary to express ideas. Children may not be equally skilled in all languages. It is common for there to be greater understanding than actual use of one language.

A speech-language evaluation of skills will include evaluation of all languages and will be completed by a bilingual speech-language pathologist, one who has knowledge of the rules and structure of the languages. The discovery that a child has some delays in both languages does not necessarily indicate a need for professional services. These delays may be characteristic of a two-language-learner.

  • We are currently treating patients Fridays and Saturdays. Therapy sessions are typically scheduled between 9am and 6pm.

  • Sessions are usually scheduled for 30-45 minutes of direct contact (with the additional minutes spent preparing and documenting a session).

  • Fox Therapies, LLC is considered an out-of-network provider, with the exception of Medicaid based programs. All services are self-pay. We will gladly provide a monthly invoice that can be submitted to your insurance company for an out-of-network reimbursement if applicable. Appropriate CPT procedure and diagnostic codes will clearly be indicated on the invoice.

  • We often experience a high demand for after-school appointments, thus many times we have a waiting list for appointments between 3-6pm. For those needing consultations or evaluations, or who can schedule morning therapy sessions, it is usually possible to be scheduled sooner.

  • No. All of our sessions are held at our clinic or via teletherapy as allowed by your insurance.
